We will continue to be open from 10 am to 4 pm every day this Christmas Holiday, including Boxing Day, for the first time in Elsham’s History!!

We will only be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve.

Christmas holidays can be hectic and stressful. We’ll be here for those who want a quiet escape or a refreshing winter walk with the family. Alpacas Freddie and Winston will be looking forward to seeing you.

Snowdrop Week (Included With Admission)

Come and celebrate half-term by seeing our incredible and extensive variety of Snowdrops or Galanthus (est - 100,000s). Snowdrop bulbs have been planted at Elsham for generations. We are also home to the Giant Snowdrop or Galanthus Elwesii which was discovered by distant relative Henry John Elwes on a visit to Turkey in 1874. His family home, Colesbourne Park and Gardens in Gloucestershire is still open to the public to this day. It boasts one of the biggest collections of snowdrops in the world.

Interesting Facts about snowdrops;

-Snowdrops contain natural anti-freeze proteins which protect them from Ice, frost and snow.

-It’s Greek name Galanthus translates as ‘Milk flower”.

-Snowdrops aren’t actually native to the uk. It’s not clear when they were brought over, but it was during the 18th century they were officially recorded in the wild.

-Snowdrops can be incredibly valuable with avid collectors named ‘galanthophile’s’ paying £100s - £1000s for rare bulbs.

-Galantamine is a compound found within snowdrops which is used to help manage Alzheimer’s and Dementia.

Expect to hear all of ABBA’s greatest hits, including Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia, Waterloo and many more! Decked out in full disco costume, ABBA by Moonlight combines stunning vocals, talented live musicians, and a uniquely beautiful outdoor setting to make one unforgettable concert.

Come along with family and friends, picnic in picturesque surroundings before grabbing your dancing shoes and get ready for the party of a lifetime at Elsham Hall Gardens and Country Park.

Founded by experienced outdoor event organisers Chapterhouse Theatre Company and now in their fifth year of touring, Music by Moonlight brings the songs you know and love to life in some of the UK and Ireland’s most beautiful outdoor venues including castles, gardens, and heritage sites. Featuring talented tribute bands specially chosen not just for their outstanding musical ability and showmanship but also their remarkable resemblances to the original artists, Music by Moonlight open-air concerts are a “Family friendly funfest” (The Times) and the perfect way to spend a summer evening.

Tickets will go on sale from our online shop on Wednesday the 18th of September.

The Halloween encounters will be taking place daily from the 19th - 27th of October.

Includes;

  • Free Park and Garden admission for the day (1 Child + 1 Free Adult)

  • For 1 hour (12 pm - 1 pm) meet Exotic encounters of the world in the trail centre to Interact and hold Insects, Spiders, Snakes, and a certain Skunk.

  • Wizard/Witch's hat and a trick-or-treating bucket of candy

Important Info;

  • Please arrive 20-25 minutes before to collect your wristbands. Please bring your receipt (digital or printed).

  • It's a 5-minute walk from the shop to the trail centre next to Mud and Stud cottage.

  • The session begins at 12 pm and ends at 1 pm.

  • Suitable for children of all ages

  • This event booking is nonrefundable unless we have to cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances.

Wedding Venue Open day

Save the date for the grand opening of our newly renovated Grade II Listed barn. Decked out with festoon lights, new floors and much more. The place is full of rustic charm and you won't be able to help yourself from falling in love with our stunning wedding venue.

Doors open at 11am and close at 4pm on Saturday May 18th and Sunday May 19th.

Canapés will be available, and drinks may be purchased at our bar.

Enjoy some beautiful music from Eleanor Grace and Connor Pension, plus live magic with James Kirman!

Elsham Hall Extra Lambing Day 3 (Included with admission)

With over 300 ewes, Elsham Hall has one of biggest open lambing days in the country. Shepherd Warwick and his family have run the operation for well over a decade. The barn will be open to the public for 2 days only. Sunday the 31st March and the 7th of April. If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to watch multiple lambs being born.

The event is included with Park and Garden admission which also gives you access to the Park and Gardens.No booking necessary, just pay at the door. 
Adult £8/Concession £7.50(Students,Blue cards,People with disabilities + 1 free carer) /Children £6.50(3 and above)/Family £28(2 Adults and 3 Children) 

Pregnant women are advised not to attend this event as close contact with sheep during the lambing poses a risk to health for mother and unborn child from infections sheep can carry.

Good Hygiene practise is essential to avoid cross contamination of infectious diseases for both sheep and human. Please wash your hand on exit/entry and avoid touching.

Open but…We are currently at High risk of closing the Park and Gardens due to the anticipated high wind this weekend. If we do have to close the Park and Gardens in the morning on Sunday, you will be offered either a 20% discount on tickets or 2 stars in the Rewards system. Whatever your preference. (We have a strict wind policy in place to keep everyone safe.)

Lambing Days

The sheep at Elsham start lambing in March/April (look out for our special lambing days). The older lambs can be seen skipping about in the fields on the main entrance drive.
