We unfortunately don’t allow dogs currently in the Park and Gardens due to all the free roaming animals and wildlife. But we do allow guide and support dogs on leads.

What We Have To Offer

  • Elsham Hall Walled Garden featuring a large mound hill and livestock

    One of the Country's Biggest 18th Century Walled Gardens

    The Walled Garden was originally a private garden for cultivating flowers, fruit and vegetables. It has been completely reimagined by Gervase and Clare into a contemporary garden designed by Garden Architect Ian Stubbs.

  • The Lakes at Elsham Hall

    14th Century Carp Lakes

    Elsham Hall has two lakes dating back well before the Hall was conceived. Back when the grounds were home to Augustinian Canons for around 350 years. They built both the Lakes and a Priory somewhere close to where the current Hall is located. The Priory itself was dissolved in 1536 during The Reformation and later collapsed over time.

    The Lakes geographically are all that remain today. Overtime successional owners have expanded and brought additions like the 18th century lake walls and bridge alongside the Walled Garden.

  • The Arboretum at Elsham Hall

    The Arboretum

    An Arboretum is a botanical collection made up of exclusively trees. The Elsham Hall Arboretum was planted after the previous wood was devastated by dutch Elm disease. It Is a collection of trees selected from around the British isles by Captain Jeremy Elwes, his friend/agent Martin Harker and his father.

  • The Adventure Playground at Elsham Hall

    Adventure Playground

    Our playground features fun play structures and activities that encourage kids to explore, have fun and make friends. We have swings, slides, play houses and an endurance course. It is a popular destination for families after a walk in the gardens and park.

  • Enchanted Woods at Elsham Hall

    Enchanted Woods

    A beautiful new garden replacing the butterfly walk. Developed by Gardeners Josie and Steve for kids to explore and let their imaginations run wild. You might even find a fairy!

  • Alpaca called Winston at Elsham Hall

    Animals

    From Alpacas, to Donkeys, Rabbits and Guinea pigs. We’ve got them. Birds like Peacocks, ducks and Guinea fowl free roam the park. Our Bird Aviaries hold budgies, rare pheasants and are now home to rescued owls.

  • Wildlife at Elsham Hall

    Wildlife

    Throughout the seasons the Gardens and Country park are home to a rich assortment of wildlife. Mammals such as Otters, Mink, Stoats and Shrews. Birds such as Kingfishers, Herons, Bull finches, Nuthatches, Buzzards, and European Green woodpeckers. Reptiles such as Frogs, Newts and Toads. Fish such as Carp, Trout, Eels, Tench and Pike. Insects such as Hummingbird Hawkmoth’s, Tortoiseshell Butterflies, Emperor Dragonflies and Acorn Weevils.
